However good the mechanic, your peace of mind requires that you put this job into the hands of First Stop professionals. With properly fitted tyres, you can enjoy safe driving, with no upsets.
Do the wheels need balancing?
Whenever a tyre is removed and a new one fitted, the wheels need balancing to eliminate vibration on the rim. You have to do this for both front and back wheels on your vehicle. Otherwise the bearings, suspension and steering could suffer premature wear.
After fitting, should the alignment be serviced?
If the alignment has been adjusted after removing and fitting new tyre, this is difficult to detect while driving. To maintain your safety and that of the vehicle, it is recommended to check the alignment, whenever tyres are changed.
What does the tyre removal pack include?
The First Stop tyre removal pack includes dismantling and fitting the tyre, changing the valve, inflating tyres with nitrogen and balancing the wheels.
WHY SIGN UP FOR THE TYRE FITTING PACK

WHAT TYPE OF TYRES DOES MY VEHICLE NEED?
The type of tyres best suited to your vehicle depends on various factors such as payload and maximum speed, among other things. At First Stop, we offer you our tyre selector for your car, to help you choose the right one.
HOW OFTEN DO I HAVE TO CHANGE THE TYRES?
For your own safety, it is recommended that you service tyres frequently and check:
- That they are correctly inflated.
- Whether there is visible damage or irregular wear.
- If the depth of tread is 3mm or less, on summer or winter tyres.
