Rotating Tyres

Rotating tyres is the practice of swapping around the tyres of a vehicle for optimum performance.

Rotating tyres is the practice of swapping around the tyres of a vehicle for optimum performance. For example, if you buy two new tyres, your local First Stop specialist will put the new ones with the deeper tread on the rear axle, to maintain stability and grip.

The tyres on any vehicle can be rotated, so long as they're all the same size.

We recommend rotating tyres every 10,000km / 6,000miles. It should be done more frequently if you do a lot of long journeys or driving with a heavy load.

What are the benefits of rotating tyres?

  • Avoid premature wear
  • Maximise tyre life
  • Uniform grip and traction
  • Increased safety and comfort

At First Stop we will happily check your tyres free to see if they need rotating.
