Frequently asked questions
No, it's not the same.
Alignment involves setting the wheels on each axle in parallel, and the axles parallel to each other, adjusting wheel angles so that the car steering does not drift to one side, as well as ensuring driver comfort and good grip for the tyres, thus guaranteeing safety at the wheel.
Balancing is a mechanical process of adjusting the wheels to prevent vehicle vibration at any speed, no matter what type of driving is used.
The modern car is built for comfort, performance and handling. In order to achieve and maintain the best ride possible, the steering and suspension needs to be measured and adjusted within the motor manufacturer’s specifications. This can only be done by measuring all four wheels and having a proper full four wheel alignment measurement.
Wheel alignment can be affected by hitting the kurb or a large pothole in the road or travelling regularly on gravel roads. If alignment is out, it can cause excessive wear to your tyres and problems with steering or suspension.
FIRST STOP - Santry customer reviews
"Went into couple of garages before to get the parking lamp of my car fixed. Both said they were too busy to check, which could have practically taken them 5 mins to fix. when I came to this garage, they looked busy too but the owner Will knowing that this wouldn’t take long, was on to it on flash himself. Several hours, probably a day saved for me. Thanks Will ! Very helpful and customer service oriented! 5 stars"

"Excellent service, they repaired a puncture and put the tyre back on the car for me, took 20 mins and cost €20, would recommend"
"Went here in January to get one of my tyres looked at as it was nearly flat and I had pumped it up many times so I thought maybe the tyre was gone and needed replaced. My colleague dropped off the tyre to Bobby and Ash and they called me when it was ready. To my surprise the lads had fixed the small valve on it and told me there would be no charge. I have to say that was amazing service and the lads were so nice to deal with. Nice to see such honest guys. Thanks again Bobby and Ash."
"These guys are amazing. Any time I've called in they have been able to help me on the spot. And for minor things they won't even charge you, so leave a tip for these unsung heroes."
