Frequently asked questions
No, it's not the same.
Alignment involves setting the wheels on each axle in parallel, and the axles parallel to each other, adjusting wheel angles so that the car steering does not drift to one side, as well as ensuring driver comfort and good grip for the tyres, thus guaranteeing safety at the wheel.
Balancing is a mechanical process of adjusting the wheels to prevent vehicle vibration at any speed, no matter what type of driving is used.
The modern car is built for comfort, performance and handling. In order to achieve and maintain the best ride possible, the steering and suspension needs to be measured and adjusted within the motor manufacturer’s specifications. This can only be done by measuring all four wheels and having a proper full four wheel alignment measurement.
Wheel alignment can be affected by hitting the kurb or a large pothole in the road or travelling regularly on gravel roads. If alignment is out, it can cause excessive wear to your tyres and problems with steering or suspension.

"Patsy the owner is a good man, hard worker and get it done on time. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful."
"Over in Donegal on holiday, pulled over near Lough Salt for a tractor and drove over steel reinforcing, blew out a brand new tyre. Phoned Pearce's first thing Monday morning, had tyre in stock, fitted it straight away on my land cruiser, €100, brilliant service, took off spare and swapped for new tyre, and blew up my spare as it was a bit low. Fantastic"
"Great service. Went to fix a puncture, it was done in 10 minutes even though it was lunch time."
"Excellent service 👏 👍"
"I ordered 2 tyres over the phone, I was told in stock and ready to fit, as I have to drive almost 50klm to have them fitted, on arrival I was told 30-40 minutes to fit, my wife and I went shopping and returned an hour later to find car was still without the tyres, receptionist said they would need to send their van to warehouse as tyres were there not in garage, so we waited another hour before tyres were fitted. If told that on arrival it would not have been a problem as more shopping or a chance for lunch to be taken. On the plus side price was great, and an apology was given for the mistake, it was also noted that they were incredibly busy and kept us informed, hence I still gave a 5 star rating."
